Would you leave it all to follow Him?
With just under 4 months until we zip up our suitcases and wave goodbye I have been feeling a lot of emotions. I knew that it was going to be difficult but I didn’t realize that it was a cross I would have to pick up daily in order to follow Jesus.
As we get closer to the leaving day our life gets more and more filled with God’s love and overwhelming comfort. In these times, the most intense times of our lives are when I feel God in everything that we do.
So even when I hold a bin of sewing supplies and tears roll down my cheeks, I know that I am not alone. He has me in His arms and He’s carrying me through this too. This is what gives me the strength to leave it all behind to follow Jesus!
A little update on what things are looking like as of right now:
1) We are still scheduled to board the plane on September 24th, 2020.
2) We have been spending this time in quarantine building our relationship with Christ, as a family, and with people in our church and community via online meetings.
3) Both Warren and I have really embraced our passion for helping others during this time. We have been leading a virtual Sunday School for the kids in our church, helping out with organizing online fellowship opportunities, as well as recording and editing the online church services.
4) We recently started an Intro-To-Missions course that YWAM is hosting for people who are planning on attending a DTS in the near future. It has been such a blessing to get to grow the relationship with the people who we will be learning and growing with during our time at YWAM Kona!
